Edge Crimps

This robust warmup/intermediate hold has 3 flat very positive crimpy edges, good for developing core finger strength. A large 18mm deep edge one side is a great platform to practice max hangs or take on heavier weights on a resistance platform (such as a cable weight machine.) More advanced 10mm and 8mm deep edges on the other side allow for technical development of finger strength on smaller surfaces, especially useful using sub-bodyweight resistance provided by a cable weight machine, resistance bungee, or assisted counter-weight.

The edges are slightly inclined so they are level when the plate is hanging from an attachment point.

CrimpWerks holds are made from masters that are crafted out of special high-quality, high-density phenolic foam. This results in a refined surface texture that delivers subtle yet ample friction while also being gentle on the skin. For more aggressive finger strength training, you can gently sand the hold surfaces with high-grit sandpaper to any desired level of smoothness, giving them a distinct wood-like feel. The decrease in surface friction will demand greater finger strength to engage comparable levels of resistance.

Advanced Edge Crimps

A more advanced alternative to the 18mm/10mm/8mm hold, this hold has 3 smaller but still flat very positive crimpy edges, good for developing technical finger strength. The largest surface on one side is a 14mm deep edge, which can serve as an intermediate edge or warmup surface for the smaller edges on the other side. The more advanced 8mm and 6mm deep edges provide a greater challenge for those seeking very technical finger strength training.

This hold is particularly well suited to sub-bodyweight resistance platforms for those wanting to increase finger strength and endurance on small surfaces, but are not yet able to hang with full body weight.

QC2 System 15mm Rounded/Flat Slope Hold

Rounded/Flat Slope Holds

The more technical sloping surfaces of this hold are ideal for those who wish to focus on smaller, non-positive holds. At 15mm deep, one side is a flat surface angled downward at 15 degrees, which ends up being about 23 degrees when suspended from the QC2 plate. The other side is a rounded surface with a radius of roughly 7mm. Both are challenging holds that are great training tools to develop confidence and technique with small sloping non-positive holds.

QC2 System 20mm Slope Alien Hold

Alien Hold

This dual-purpose hold features a flat, 20mm deep slope angled downward at 15 degrees on one side, and two "organic" 10mm crimp surfaces on the other - one slightly pocketed and the other slightly rounded. It is a great hold for those wishing to train on both positive and non-positive surfaces. The 10mm crimp side is designed to closer mimic the irregular non-flat surface features one might expect from real rock, and has a very nice positive feel to it.  The sloper side is non-positive, but it's size and grippy texture instill plenty of confidence. It ends up being angled downward about 23 degrees when suspended from a QC2 plate.

QC2 System 10mm Rounded Crimps with 20mm Flat Slope Hold

Lip Crimps

This dual-purpose hold features a flat, 20mm deep slope angled downward at 15 degrees on one side, and two rounded 10mm lip crimp surfaces on the other - one convex and the other concave. The convex rounded crimp is very positive but with substantial contact concentrated to a small area towards the front of the distal phalanx. The convex rounded crimp is far less positive, and encourages optimal surface contact with the tips of the distal phalanges. The sloper side is non-positive, but it's size and grippy texture instill plenty of confidence. It ends up being angled downward about 23 degrees when suspended from a QC2 plate.
